    Hello and welcome to; “Garrett Family Layout.” Our layout is HO Scale. Our Layout is HO Scale. At present we run Norfolk Southern and CSX.

At this moment all power is DCC sound, except CSX 7661 (no sound)

Rolling Stock:

Currently we have Tropicana, JOBX, NS, OSM, CSX, rolling stock.

Description:

 Our Layout is one oval, and a point-to-point style, they are connected by the main Inbound/Departure track. We have two tracks which lead off the Layout (we call them N-1 AND W-1) We have Garrett Yard and four businesses: US Plastics, Anthony Salvage, Garrett Mine and Jake & Son’s Refrigeration. In the Yard we have a MOW train and an Office and maintenance complex. We also have a small CSX office. Our town is called Garrettville and has a:  Fire Department, Police Station, Court House, Church, and other shops and small businesses. We have three mountains: Pine Mountain, Garrett Mountain, and Samson’s Mountain. We will also have background mountains etc. We almost forgot we also have Garrett Caterpillar.

We have multiple Playlist on our You Tube Channel, A Google Blog, and a Facebook Group., a Website,  and a Portfolio Site.

YEAH! IT MOW SATURDAY !      Yes today is the second MOW Saturday this year I believe. 5-31-25 END OF MONTH UPDATE

                 Update: 5-31-25.        Well, we've come to the last day of May, and we've made changes to our layout. To start with we have a new locomotive: CSX 5943 (Dash-8B) This is our first Atlas brand and we love it! To the left you see out new NS Garrett Yard office and maintenance. Speaking of new, we have also added a small CSX office. On a sad note we had to send NS #5301 to the Bachmann Service, it de-railed and needs some fixing. We hope to be re-introducing the"Rio Grande" brand, yes in the real world there no more but hey this is freelance modeling. We still have the SD-40-T 5378 dummy locomotive, but want to get a powered locomotive to pull it. Bj (wife) says we need some different rolling stock with other companies names. We just purchased two ne characters for the layout.  This will be well me ( Charles DAD) I am the conductor for  the new CSX 5943.    This will be Police C...

          Police Officer  (Chief) Jason Dood. This characters is based off Jason Dood (Our Son) He was Yard Master but now is Garrettville's Police Chief.)  New Yard Master: Charles (Dad)  Controls the flow of Garrett Yard.  Layout:       We've begun building the Garret Mine Bridge to the new section of the mine. Old  mine section is under revitalization. Bj's Gas and Go is going to begin to take shape. CSX 7661 will get a new coupler today. Garrett Mining will get a new office tonight.  Charles Anthony (owner of Anthony Salvage) will be replacing Conductor Charles, His daughter will be running the business.
